15 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
CARE & MAINTENANCE GUIDE (UK)
This document sets out the Care & Maintenance guidance and the terms of the Next Stone Slabs 15 Year Limited Warranty.
This warranty applies to quartz slabs supplied by Next Stone Slabs Ltd (“Next Stone Slabs”, “we”, “us”, “our”) within the United Kingdom.
PART 1 – CARE & MAINTENANCE
Proper care is essential to maintain the appearance and performance of quartz surfaces.
1. Routine Cleaning
For daily cleaning:
- Use warm water and a soft cloth or sponge.
- Use mild, pH-neutral, non-abrasive household cleaners where required.
- Dry with a clean soft cloth to avoid residue.
Clean spills promptly, particularly from wine, coffee, tea, oils, food colourings, and acidic substances.
Quartz surfaces do not require sealing.
2. Heat Protection
Quartz surfaces are heat resistant but not heatproof.
You must:
- Use trivets, heat pads or protective mats under hot cookware.
- Avoid placing hot pans directly onto the surface.
- Avoid sudden or extreme temperature changes.
Damage caused by thermal shock or excessive heat is not covered by this warranty.
3. Avoiding Scratches & Impact Damage
Although highly scratch resistant, quartz is not scratch proof.
- Always use chopping boards.
- Do not cut directly on the surface.
- Avoid dragging heavy or abrasive objects.
- Take care with edges and corners.
Chipping and cracking caused by impact are not manufacturing defects.
4. Chemical Exposure
Avoid exposure to:
- Paint removers and strippers
- Bleach or high alkaline cleaners
- Oven or drain cleaners
- Permanent markers and strong solvents
If contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water and clean with mild detergent.
5. Natural Characteristics
Quartz slabs contain natural quartz aggregates. The following are normal characteristics and not defects:
- Variations in tone, colour and veining
- Minor particulates or surface pattern variation
- Differences between samples and supplied material
